CAREERS AT STUDENT SOLUTIONS
Turn Your Degree Into Work That Makes a Difference.
You may not have gone to college planning to become an Early Interventionist. Many of our team members didn’t…ironically, most colleges do not offer this as a career path.
Student Solutions brings together professionals from education, child development, human services, psychology, social work, and related fields to support children and families across the Upstate.
SEE EARLY INTERVENTION IN ACTION
Meaningful work. Real families.
A team behind you.
Support that helps you grow from your first caseload to your next leadership opportunity.
Never Heard of Early Intervention as a Career? You’re Not Alone.
One of the most common things we hear from applicants is:
“I didn’t know this career existed.”
At Student Solutions, we have yet to hire an Early Interventionist who came to us with a degree specifically in early intervention. Team members discovered the field after earning degrees in related areas.
Your degree may already connect to this work. You may simply not have been introduced to the career yet.
What Does an Early Interventionist Actually Do?
Early Interventionists work with young children and caregivers in homes, childcare settings, and other everyday environments. The goal is not simply to “work with the child,” but to help caregivers recognize learning opportunities and use practical strategies throughout daily routines.
You might spend your day…
- Helping a caregiver support communication during routines
- Modeling developmental strategies during everyday routines
- Completing developmental assessments
- Collaborating with therapists and service coordinators
- Documenting progress and celebrating developmental gains
- Helping develop family-centered goals
This is relationship-based work that blends child development, coaching, problem-solving, and family support.
Could Your Degree Be a Fit?
Early Interventionists come from many professional backgrounds. Your degree does not have to be titled “Early Intervention” for you to explore this field.
- Special Education
- Child Developmen
- Early Childhood Education
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Human Services
- Education
- Related Fields
- Family Studies
Final eligibility depends on the requirements of the position, education, experience, and applicable state credentialing requirements.
Your degree may be the beginning of a career you simply haven’t been introduced to yet.
